Edging or Profile Milling

1. When edging or profile milling without the parallel guide, the milling cutter
must be fitted with a ball bearing.
2. Guide the machine up to the work-piece from the side and mill in until the
ball bearing of the milling cutter is touching the edge of the work-piece.
3. Guide the machine with both hands along the edge of work-piece,
ensuring that the machine is at a suitable angle. Too much pressure can
damage the edge of work-piece.

Direction of Milling

Milling must always be carried out against the direction of rotation (counter
rotation) of the milling cutter.
Milling in the direction of rotation (parallel rotation) can cause the routing
cutter to be wrenched from the operator's hand (recoil).

Dust Extraction

1. Inhalation of dust is dangerous to your health. Wear a dust mask and
always work with an attached dust extraction system.
2. To extract dust, connect the suction hose of a vacuum cleaner or dust
extraction system to the flange of the dust extraction adaptor (8).

Maintenance and Cleaning

Do not use abrasives or aggressive chemicals such as benzene to clean
the machine. Use a soft, dry cloth and a stiff brush.
Keep the ventilation louvers clean and free from foreign objects to avoid
heating up the motor.
Store the router in dry locations and protect the unit from dust and dirt.
