4.1

Preparation

4.1.1 Transporting persons

The hoist has been approved for transporting persons in accordance with EN1808. The operator must also install a safety
gear or a second, redundant rope system.
Errors that result in the safety gear to activate:
Suspension rope breaks
Load lowers too fast
Attachment point is torn out
If the hoist device is used with other components, the entire rope structure must comply with Standard EN1808.

4.1.2 Selecting device

- Estimate or measure the tensile force based on the
load to be moved, Image 1.
- Then, set the minimum size of the hoist device.
- Select the appropriate rope for the hoist device.
- If necessary, reduce the tensile force using rope pul-
leys, Image 2.

4.1.3 Anchoring

- Define the location and anchoring options for the
hoist device.
