7.1 Updating Firmware
The Robot Brain, Controller, Smart Motor, Touch LED, Distance Sen-
sor, Color Sensor and Gyro Sensor all contain their own internal pro-
cessors that run special software called firmware. Periodic firmware
updates may add new features and/or improve system performan-
ce.
The best way to ensure your VEX IQ system is functioning properly
is to keep your firmware up to date. You can update the firmware
on all of these devices by downloading the free VEX IQ Firmware
Update Utility to your PC or Mac.
Important Note: When the firmware on the Robot Brain is updated,
all sensors and motors must also be updated by plugging them in
to the Brain during the update.

7.1 Firmware-Aktualisierung
Robot Brain, Fernsteuerung, Smart Motor, Touch LED, Abstands-
sensor, Farbsensor und Gyro-Sensor enthalten alle eigene Prozes-
soren, die spezielle Software haben - die so genannte Firmware. Re-
gelmäßige Aktualisierungen der Firmware können neue Funktionen
hinzufügen und/oder die Systemleistung verbessern.
Das korrekte Funktionieren des VEX-IQ-Systems sicherst Du am
besten, wenn Du die Firmware auf dem neuesten Stand hältst. Du
kannst die Firmware auf allen diesen Geräten aktualisieren, indem
Du die kostenlose VEX IQ Update Utility-Aktualisierungssoftware
auf Deinen PC oder Mac herunterlädst.
Wichtiger Hinweis: Wenn die Aktualisierung der Firmware auf dem
Robot Brain durchgeführt wird, müssen auch alle Sensoren und
Motoren aktualisiert werden, indem diese während der Aktualisie-
rung mit dem Robot Brain verbunden werden.
