Replacing an Ink Tank

When remaining ink cautions or errors occur, the Alarm lamp will flash to inform you of the
error. Count the number of flashes and take appropriate action. When you need to replace an
ink tank, follow the steps below.
1. Make sure that the power is turned on.
2. Open the print head cover.
3. Remove the ink tank with the lamp flashing fast. (Do not touch other parts besides the
ink tanks). Push the tab and lift the ink to remove.
4. Do not remove both ink tanks at the same time. Be sure to replace ink tanks one by one
when replacing both ink tanks.
5. Remove the new ink from its packaging, then remove the protective cap from the
bottom of the ink tank.
6. Insert the front end of the ink tank into the print head at a slant.
7. Press the ink tank until it snaps firmly into place. You should hear a click ensuring that it
has been secured.
8. Make sure that the ink lamp lights up.
9. Close the print head cover
