How does the two tank fuel system work on my 1999 FTR?
1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
March 20, 2025
The two-tank fuel system on a 1999 Isuzu FTR works by allowing fuel to move between tanks due to the difference in fuel levels. The system relies on gravity or pressure differences to balance fuel distribution. It is recommended to refill the tanks sufficiently or close the fuel tank taps before idling the engine or driving on steep slopes to ensure proper fuel flow and prevent issues.

Need help?
Do you have a question about the FTR and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
How does the two tank fuel system work on my 1999 FTR?
The two-tank fuel system on a 1999 Isuzu FTR works by allowing fuel to move between tanks due to the difference in fuel levels. The system relies on gravity or pressure differences to balance fuel distribution. It is recommended to refill the tanks sufficiently or close the fuel tank taps before idling the engine or driving on steep slopes to ensure proper fuel flow and prevent issues.
