4. Tap the Power icon
Kettle to indicate that the Kettle is in the heating cycle. The display
will flash the chosen temperature 3 times then will display the current
water temperature.
5. The temperature will increase in the display until it reaches the
chosen
temperature then the Kettle will shut off.
6. To use the Keep Warm function follow the instructions below.
IMPORTANT NOTES
• The Kettle shuts off automatically after the heating cycle is
complete.
• If the Kettle is removed from the base before the boiling cycle is
complete the heating cycle will be cancelled.
• To turn the Kettle off before the boiling cycle is complete turn on
the Control Panel Display and press the Power Icon
• The Lid should not be opened when the Kettle is hot.
• If you want to use the Kettle again, allow the thermal safety switch
to cool down for 15 to 20 seconds then follow the directions in the
How to Use the Boil Setting or How to Use the Variable Temperature
Setting on page 5.
• Only grip the Kettle by the Handle as all other surfaces will be hot.
• Return the Kettle to the Base or a heat resistant surface after use.
• If the Kettle is accidently switched on when empty, the thermostat
will automatically cycle on and off to prevent the Kettle from
overheating.
Setting the Keep Warm Function
The Keep Warm setting can be used at all temperatures except boil.
The maximum temperature for Keep Warm is 90°C/194°F.
To use the Keep Warm function press and hold the power icon
seconds instead of tapping the icon – see #4 in the "To Use the Variable
Temperature Settings" section on page 5. When the Keep Warm setting
has been set the Icon will be displayed on the left hand side of the
Temperature Display.
The Keep Warm function will remain active for 2 hours if the Kettle
remains on the base. If the Kettle is lifted off the base the Keep Warm
setting is cancelled.
