DO NOT fill past the MAX level indicated on the kettle. Overfilling may cause water to spill out when boiling. 2. Place Kettle on Power Base making sure it is correctly engaged on the Power Base. 3. Plug Power Base cord into a 120V AC wall outlet. NOTE: Never plug Power Base with empty Kettle into the electrical outlet. 4. Press the On/Off Switch to the ‘On’ position (I). The blue lights inside the Kettle will illuminate to indicate that the Kettle is in the boil cycle. Once the water has boiled, the On/Off Switch will automatically switch to the ‘Off’ position and the Lights will go out.

Filter Wash the filter in warm soapy water. Rinse and replace in the filter position. Descaling Under normal use, scale build-up will form on the inside of the kettle and will coat the stainless steel plate. Scale, which has accumulated inside the kettle must be removed. Follow either of the 2 methods below: A) Boil equal parts of white vinegar and water (500ml/2 cups of each is recommended). Once the water has boiled, allow the mixture to stand overnight. Empty out mixture and fill kettle to the MAX level with fresh water.
