General installation instructions for HELIX components
To find out how this HELIX suboofer works best
for you, read this manual carefully and follow the
installation instructions. We guarantee that this
product has been checked for proper functioning
before shipping.
Before you start installation, disconnect the car
battery at the minus pole. We would urge you to
have the installation work carried out by a spe-
cialist as verification of correct installation and
connection of the unit is a prerequisite for war-
ranty cover of this HELIX product. If you like to
do the installation by yourself, please strictly fol-
low the subsequent hints. Disregarding these
advices may lead to health injuries and damage
of your vehicle or your equipment.

research and development of audio products this
active subwoofer is another milestone concer-
ning sound quality.

A. Check for adequate clearance between spea-
ker and seat, rear deck torsion bars, and other
items which may interfere with the speaker's
installation..
B. Check for a flat mounting surface, free from
obstruction.
C. The method of installation and level of execu-
tion will effect the overall performance of the
subwoofer. Treat each installation step with a
high degree of attention.
D. Do not install the subwoofer where it may
come into contact with water.
E. Make sure that your B 8DSP / B 12DSP is not
mounted near heat dissipating parts or sensitive
electronic components of your car.
F. For safety reasons, the subwoofer must be
secured in a professional manner.
Before drilling the holes for fixing screws, careful-
ly examine the area around the installation posi-
tion and make sure that there are no electrical
cables or components, hydraulic brake lines or
any part of the petrol tank located behind the
mounting surface - otherwise these could be
damaged. You should be aware of the fact that
such components may also be concealed in the
double-skin trim panels/mouldings.
