15.10 Topping up engine oil

Avoid damage to the machine.
Avoid exceeding and falling below
the correct engine oil level.
● Open the engine hood. (
● Check the engine oil filling
level. (

instruction manual – use a suitable
funnel.
● Close the engine hood. (

15.11 Checking the safety devices

Risk of injury!
The safety devices must only be
checked from the driver's seat.
No persons, particularly children, or
animals must be in the vicinity.
Proper functioning of the safety
devices must be checked at least
once a month.
Following longer periods without
use, for low-use machines or after
repairs, always check all safety
devices before using again.
Checking the brake switch:
● Sit on the driver's seat.
● Stop the engine and allow it to come to
a standstill. (

● Release the parking brake and do not
actuate the brake pedal.
● Turn the ignition key to the "start
engine" position. (

The engine cannot be started when the
brake switch is functioning correctly.
Checking the seat switch:
● Sit on the driver's seat.

again. (

● Press the brake pedal to the stop and

Checking the reverse mowing safety
switch:
● Sit on the driver's seat – do not press
the reverse mowing safety switch.
● Start the engine (

● Select reverse driving direction and
drive off. (

If the reverse mowing safety switch is
functioning, the mowing deck will be
disengaged after 1 second.
15.12 Cleaning the level sensor (grass
catcher box)
The level sensor (grass catcher box) may
become soiled when mowing wet or moist
grass. This results in impaired function.
By way of prevention, clean the level
sensor following each mowing operation or
each time the discharge chute is cleaned.
● Stop the engine. (

safe place.
