(1993-1995) INSTALLATION WITHOUT A RUBBER HOOD SEAL
1.
Be sure that the hood is clean and dry inside and out.
2.
Open the hood and center the deflector on it.
3.
Install the rubber bonded washers on the screws (rubber side
towards deflector).
4.
Place the screws through the deflector and into the existing
holes in the hood.
5.
Tighten the screws into the hood (do not over tighten).
6.
Install two bumpons on the hood 2" behind the leading edge
(where the deflector begins to turn up). Directly behind the 'E'
clips (already on the deflector) Attention: The bumpons must
be installed on the hood not on the deflector!!!! If the
bumpons are installed on the deflector they will wear through
the paint.
7.
Install the abrasion film pad directly under where the 'E' clips will
fit on the hood (be sure to wrap the pads over the leading edge
of the hood and fold over to cover at least ½" of the bottom of
the hood).
8.
Install the 'E' clips by gently pulling the deflector wings towards
the leading edge of the hood until they slide over and clip onto
the hood edge.
9.
On some vehicles it may be necessary to adjust the hood
bumpers and/or latch for proper clearance.
Note: Do not pull on the deflector when opening or closing the
hood.
