prior to operating the unit and keep them for later use.

projector from falling down

to unlock the cover, pull the pin to the stop

2 Safety Notes

The projector housing corresponds to all required
directives of the EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING
The electrical connection of the pro-
jector to the 230 V mains supply must
only be made by skilled personnel.
Inexpert handling may result in an
electric shock.
The projector is suitable for indoor use only. Pro-
tect it against dripping water, splash water, and
high air humidity.
Caution: Risk of burns! During operation, the
projector is very hot – never touch the housing.
Switch off the projector first and let it cool down
for some minutes.
Never cover the air vents of the housing – fire
hazard. Do not insert any objects into the air
vents – risk of an electric shock!
Do not operate the projector or immediately dis-
connect the power supply to the projector
1. in case of visible damage to the projector or to
the mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled
personnel.
A damaged mains cable must be replaced by
skilled personnel only.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use
chemicals or water.
No guarantee claims for the projector housing
and no liability for any resulting personal damage
or material damage will be accepted if the pro-
jector housing is used for other purposes than
originally intended or if it is not expertly installed.

Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in ac-
cordance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of
this appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the
earth symbol
and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with the letter L or coloured red.
WARNING – This appliance must be earthed.
If the projector housing is to be put out of
operation definitively, take it to a local re-
cycling plant for a disposal which is not
.
harmful to the environment.
3 Applications, Lamps
The projector housing is specially designed for
stage illumination. Additional colour filters (e. g. from
"img Stage Line":
LEF-56SET for models PAR-56L/.. and
LEF-64SET for models PAR-64L/..)
will also allow illumination with coloured light.
The projector housing is supplied without lamp.
Suitable lamps from the "img Stage Line" range can
be found in the tables below. Never use lamps of a
higher wattage than stated below!

4 Inserting or Replacing the Lamp

WARNING
As the lamp becomes very hot during operation, let
the projector cool down for at least 5 minutes.
1) To open the projector housing, pull the retaining

Always disconnect the projector from
the power supply before inserting or
replacing the halogen lamp (discon-
nect the mains plug from the mains
socket or set the corresponding
