• Batteries must be kept out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around, as there is a risk
that children or pets may swallow them.
• All batteries must be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries can cause the batteries to
leak and damage the product.
• Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into flames. Never recharge non-rechargeable
batteries. Risk of explosion!

d) Basic information on use of this product

• This device has the potential to cause damage to property and/or individuals. Ensure that you are
adequately insured to use the device and for any potential consequences, e.g. by taking out private
liability insurance.
• Important: Some countries may forbid the use of metal detectors, or you may need to register the metal
detector with the local authorities.
• The search for hidden metallic objects is a hobby that brings with it great happiness and excitement.
Please note, however, that regulations concerning excavations have been adopted in every country. It is
in your own interest to familiarise yourself with these regulations.
• Never start searching on private land without permission. In principle, local stipulations and laws apply.
In the event of doubt, check with the a responsible office or with the property owners.
• Do not enter sites of archaeological value or renown without authorisation. Should you find objects of
archaeological value, please contact a museum or local authority.
• Always leave the search location as you found it. Collect waste that you have found and dispose of it
accordingly.
• After digging, refill the hole so that it looks tidy and does not present a hazard. Leave the landscape as
you found it.
• Return valuable objects to their rightful owners.

e) During use

• You are responsible for the hazards associated with excavating and recovering an object.
• When the device detects an object, bear in mind that the object may be ammunition or another explosive.
Danger of death! In that case, stop digging immediately, secure the area from a safe distance and inform
the local authorities (e.g. police).
• This product is not a toy and is not suitable for children under 14 years of age. Children may only use
metal detectors when supervised by an adult.
• Objects may only be excavated by adults.
• Always look ahead when walking with the metal detector. Never look exclusively at the ground, as there
may be obstacles or hazards in front of you such as a slope or road.

f) Persons and product

• Keep the headphone volume at the lowest possible level, ensuring that you can still hear the audible
signals clearly. Do not use the headphones at an excessively loud volume for extended periods, as this
may cause hearing damage.
• Do not use the headphones to search for metal when close to roads/areas with heavy traffic. Doing so
will distract you from your environment and there may be hazards that you can no longer hear.
• Do not store the device in very hot environments, e.g. in a car parked in the sun.
