Formatting USB storage media

Formatting USB storage media
When a USB storage device is connected or media is inserted, a message may appear prompting you to format the device/
media. If so, execute the Format operation.

Engage the format mode.
After making sure that the USB flash memory is connected to the instrument,
press the
[PLAY/STOP]

Search USB storage media to be formatted.
Press the
[PLAY/STOP]
on the display if a USB flash memory device to be formatted is found. To cancel
format, press [–/NO] button before pressing the [+/YES] button in step 3.

Start the format.
Press the [+/YES] button.
When the format operation is finished, an "End" message appears on the dis-
play.

Exit from format mode.
Press the [–/NO] or [+/YES] button to exit from format mode.
CAUTION
The format operation overwrites any previously existing data. Make sure that the media
you are formatting does not contain important data. Proceed with caution, especially
when connecting multiple USB storage media.
