FIRE OUT WITH A THERMOCOUPLE ERROR
When the water temperature is below 120˚F (49˚C), the system will check for
an increase in water temperature. If the controller has just been turned on or
if the firebox door has been opened and closed, the system will wait 2 hours
before checking for an increase in water temperature. It will then continue
to check every 30 minutes thereafter. If water temperature does not increase
significantly between system checks, the warning will scroll across the display
until one of the following occurs:
• the water temperature rises significantly,
• the controller is turned off and on, or
• the firebox door is opened and closed.
DOOR OPEN
If the firebox door is open, the warning will scroll across the display until the
door is closed. Since the purge cycle will be running before the door is opened,
opening the door for more than a few seconds will result in the purge cycle
ending (i.e., the combustion fan shuts off and both actuator units close).
Other Alarms
Alarms that will not stop the operation of the furnace will still scroll across
the screen as a message, and will be preceded by ATTENTION: (Message
contents). If the firebox door is open for more than 30 seconds, the Reset Cycle
will be reset.
NOTE: The following alarms will not stop system operation:
THERMOCOUPLE FAILURE
The flue gas thermocouple has been damaged or disconnected. The message
will indicate that the system is no longer operating at optimal efficiency.
Contact your dealer immediately. To hide this alarm, press the
buttons at the same time. Doing so does NOT erase the alarm or fix the
problem, but it does allow normal operation. In the event of a thermocouple
failure, Fire Out will be based on water temperature.
EPROM MEMORY FAILURE
The message will indicate that the controller was unable to recover from a
memory failure. All settings will be reset to the factory default settings and
will not be saved if the controller is turned off or power is interrupted. In the
event of a power outage, the controller will not restart when power is restored.
Contact your dealer.
CLEAR SETTINGS
The display will show the message to indicate all settings are being reset to the
factory default settings.
