ADJUSTMENT FITTING THE SECONDARY HANDLE (Fig. E) The line trimmer has been shipped with the secondary handle not fitted. It must be fitted to the upper shaft before using the trimmer. Attach it to the upper shaft on the upper shaft assembly in a comfortable position for use and secure it firmly in place with the screws provided. -

OPERATION FUEL USE FRESH UNLEADED FUEL (PETROL), 90 OCTANE OR BETTER – Do NOT use E10 or Ethanol blends. Mix with a premium grade air cooled 2-Stroke oil at a ratio of 40:1 Mix fuel with 2-stroke oil in an approved container. - Page 16 OPERATION RUNNING IN THE ENGINE A factory-new machine should run at moderate speed for the first 2-3 hours of work, as different components need to settle with each other during the process of running in the engine. The engine can reach its maximum power after this running in period. After the first 2-3 hours of works, stop and make sure that all nuts and screws are securely fastened, and tighten them if necessary.

The cut off knife on the guard will automatically cut off any excess line. For best results tap the head on hard soil or bare ground. Never bump the spool head on concrete as it may crack the spool housing.
- Page 18 MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE REPLACING OF THE CUTTING LINE CAUTION: After changing the line spool, run the petrol line trimmer under no load for at least a minute to make sure that the line and the tool are both operating correctly. Use only the line spool as recommended by the manufacturer.

- Page 20 MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE BEFORE EACH USE: • Remove dirt and debris from the line trimmer exterior. • Inspect the engine, tank and hoses for possible fuel leaks, and repair as necessary. • Inspect the engine cooling fins for accumulations of dirt or debris , and clean as necessary.
- Page 21 MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE STORAGE (30 DAYS OR LONGER) CLEANING - Thoroughly clean the line trimmer exterior. INSPECTION - Inspect the entire line trimmer and blade for damage, including loose or missing components and repair as necessary. FUEL - Drain the fuel tank and then clear the carburettor and lines by running the line trimmer until it stops from lack of fuel.
