By train / By public transport

Taking pedelecs with you by public transport is per-
mitted in general, the regulations applicable in the cit-
ies differ, however. There are e.g. some places where
you are only allowed for travel with your CENTURION
pedelec during off-peak hours and with an additional
bicycle ticket. Inform yourself in time about the reg-
ulations of carrying the pedelec before you start the
trip!
In some countries regional trains have special spaces
for the storage of pedelecs and other things. This is
an option to take your pedelec with you. They are
often at the front or end of a train and marked with a
bicycle sign.
When taking a high-speed train check whether you
can take your pedelec or bike with you.
If the rechargeable battery of your
I
CENTURION pedelec is mounted to the
down tube or to the pannier rack, you
can remove the battery for an easier boarding
and disembarking (a-d).
Before you start your trip, inform your-
I
self in time about the conditions of car-
riage and also observe the regulations
and rules about bicycle and pedelec transport in
the countries through which you intend to travel.

By plane

a
If you intend to take your CENTURION pedelec by
plane or to dispatch it by a forwarding agent, you
have to observe particular packing and labeling re-
quirements for rechargeable batteries which are con-
sidered as hazardous goods. Contact the airline, an
expert for hazardous items or the forwarding agent
in time.
b
Contact the airline with which you in-
I
tend to travel in time and inform your-
self about conditions and possibilities of
taking your CENTURION pedelec with you.
