Note: Progressive scan, a feature of some TVs, requires using three component video cables, for example.

Or, you may have cube arrays or single cube speakers (images B and C respectively), which use a two-wire cable for connections. CAUTION: Before you make any connections, be sure that the media center, the Acoustimass module, and any additional equipment are NOT connected to AC power.

Voltage variations and spikes can damage electronic components in any system. A quality sup- pressor can eliminate the vast majority of failures attributed to surges and may be purchased at electronics stores.

    By using the Bose link option, you can add a variety of other Bose systems, speakers, and amplifiers (some designed specifically for this use) in up to 15 rooms total. Much more than simply extending the reach of your system, however, it adds another level of choice.
