5. Install your insect-killer in a relatively dark place: not in direct sunlight
(windows, doors), because bright sunlight weakens the insect-killer's radiation
power. Artificial light does not weaken the radiation, but makes it work less well.
6. Do not place the insect killer in the draft. Insects avoid drafts / air flows. Placing
the insect killer in the draft flow will therefore not be effective.

Use and Maintenance

Using
Make sure that the power socket you intend using is
earthed and the correct voltage (220/240V~50Hz). Start
the insect-killer working by plugging the device in and
then setting the ON/OFF switch (O/I) to ON (press in 'I').
The insect-killer is operating.
Service
For safety reasons, the user may not open the grille. So you may not replace
lamps, the fuse or the starter yourself: consult a certified electrician or other
qualified professional for this. The fuse of the Fly Away Metal 16-2 is a part of the
circuit board, which can also only be replaced by a qualified professional.
Cleaning
Regularly empty the collection tray by pulling it out
of the appliance. Then empty and clean it.
Dust and dirt influence the appliance's
effectiveness, so regularly clean the appliance.
Switch the appliance off, remove the plug from the
socket and remove the collection tray. If you lay
the appliance down, you can remove dust and dirt
from the appliance using e.g. a vacuum cleaner, a
duster or a soft brush (not a metal brush!). Never
remove the grille! Do not use moisture or
aggressive cleaning agents in the appliance. You can dust off the outside of the
appliance with a soft cloth.
Possible defects/problems
Check if the plug is placed properly in the socket and that the power supply is in
order. In the case of any other causes, consult a qualified professional. It is strictly
forbidden to open the grille and/or to carry out repairs yourself!
