All components have been separated into different categories based on common grouping and/or the chronology of installation. Each category has been color coded. All parts within any given color category will be labeled accordingly, and each color category will have its own respective instruction manual.

  • Page 10 End Wall Power Vent ASSEMBLE VENT FRAME Depending on length of purchased shelter, vent frame may consist of longer components different dimensions. All applications in all diagrams are the same. Adjust accordingly. NOTE: To prevent damage to frame components, it is best to assemble the frame in short sections. Assembled frame sections can then be added to the building and connected.

  • Page 12 End Wall Power Vent ASSEMBLE VENT FRAME (continued) 1. Locate the frame parts and the 112166 #10 screws, and assemble the vent frame as shown. Assemble the frame in sections and add to the building. (Frame can also be assembled on the building. This method is not shown.) Polycarbonate panels (cut from the end wall cladding in a previous step) are prepared and added to the frame after the frame is attached to the building.

  • Page 15 End Wall Power Vent PREPARE AND INSTALL VENT PANELS PANEL PREPARATION: Panels for the vent are cut from the panels used for the end wall cladding. Measure the opening of the vent frame and cut a panel to cover the opening. Cut the panel approximately 1/4" smaller than the actual size of the frame opening to allow for expansion. REMEMBER: Panel slides into the top rail channel and sits tight to the top of the bottom rail when properly cut and installed.

Space screws evenly at approximately 12" on-center. ATTENTION: Do not crush polycarbonate panels by over-tightening the screws. Use five screws per panel. ATTENTION: Position screws so they do not contact the building frame when vent is closed.
  • Page 19 End Wall Power Vent INSTALL BOTTOM RAIL GASKET ATTENTION: Install the 113370 bottom rail gasket after installing all panels. For easier installation, coat the gasket with liquid dish soap. Do not pull or stretch gasket during installation. Gasket will relax after installation; allow extra gasket material to extend beyond the vent frame at each end.

ATTENTION: 112316Z01D strut bracket will be installed on the outside of the previous installed end wall polycarbonate. FA4486 tek screw will go through the bracket, vent sash, polycarbonate, and into the end wall cross bracing.

A sample vent is used to present a typical system with the drive motor mounted outside the main building. Use this information as a basic guide during the assembly of purchased vent system.
