  • Page 4 Introduction This guide provides instructions for replacing a transporter in the Spectra T200, T380, or T680 library (referred to as “the library”). Do not replace the transporter unless you have been specifically instructed to do so Important by Spectra Logic Technical Support.

    Prepare for Maintenance For all of the libraries, make sure that you address the requirements in this chapter to prepare for the maintenance procedure. STIMATED IME TO OMPLETE Replacing the transporter requires 30 to 45 minutes, depending on whether the right-hand side of the library is accessible. This time estimate includes the time required to initialize and test the transporter after the installation is complete.

    T200, T380, or T680 Transporter Replacement This chapter describes replacing the transporter in a Spectra T200, T380, or T680 library. Note: The relative locations of the components and the procedures are the same for all three libraries unless otherwise indicated.

    Re-import Magazines and Update Inventory If you removed magazines from the front of the library during the replacement procedure, re-import them as described in the Spectra Mid- Range Libraries: T200, T380, and T680 Library User Guide. After you finish importing the magazines, update the inventory using your backup software.

    Return Guidelines Unless Spectra Logic Technical Support informs you otherwise, return the defective component to Spectra Logic as described in the following section.
