Installing the Software

Installing the Software
The steps below must be taken before using the HSDPA/UMTS modem.

Turn off the wireless switch.

Turn on or restart the computer, and run the Setup Utility by
pressing F2 while [Panasonic] boot screen is displayed.
If [Enter Password] is displayed, input the Supervisor Password.

Select the [Advanced] menu, and set [Wireless Modem] to [Disable].

Save the settings and exit the Setup Utility.

Log on to Windows with the administrator authority.

Enable the Touchscreen by following procedure.
Click [start] - [Control Panel] - [Performance and Maintenance] - [System] -

[Hardware] - [Device Manager] - [Human Interface Devices].
Right-click [USB Touch Panel] and click [Enable].

When [Found New Hardware wizard] is displayed, click [No, not this time] -

Click [Install the software automatically (Recommend)] - [Next] - [Finish].

If a change is made to the display resolution, or the cursor cannot be pointed

correctly with the stylus, be sure to perform the touchscreen calibration.

Install the wireless WAN software by following procedure.
Insert the CD/DVD drive into the Mul timedia Pocket. (

Set the Wireless WAN (HSDPA/UMTS) Software CD-ROM into the CD/DVD drive.

* "x:" is the drive letter of the CD/DVD drive. Change this to match the drive letter on

your own computer.
Follow the on-screen instructions, and install the software.
