QUESTIONS
Q1. How do I insert the sim card into my Konka phone?
To insert the sim card, you need to remove the back cover from the phone. To do this, you just need to find
the small cut-out edge on the bottom left corner of the back cover and remove it (bottom left if viewing phone
from the front). There are two slots, one for the sim and one for the SD card. This slot is located in the top left
hand corner, to the left of the camera. Please note that the sim card must go under the SD card. The graphic
shows which card goes on top, and which goes on the bottom. Simply slide the micro sim card under the silver
plate. The cut-out edge should be facing the camera.
Q2. How do I turn the device on and off?
To turn the device on, simply hold down the power button, which is located to the top right of the phone, on
the outer frame. Use this same button to power off the device. Be aware that when you hold it down to power
off, you do then need to press the power off icon that appears next to restart.
Q3. How can I factory reset my Konka phone?
Before you proceed – remember to back up all personal data (photos, videos, contacts etc....) – these will be
lost when the device is reset. To reset your device, swipe the screen up to bring the applications menu to the
display. Scroll up on the screen and now single tap on settings (bottom left). Scroll down again to the bottom
of the settings screen and single tap on the setting called system. Now single tap on the setting called reset
options. Select erase all data (factory reset), followed by reset phone. To finalize the reset, click on erase
everything. The phone will now completely re-boot, this can take quite a few minutes.
Q4. Can I adjust the in-call volume?
If you feel you cannot hear the individual on the other end very well, you can alter this setting, to improve
volume. You need to be in an active call to do this, so please make sure you make a phone call first. During the
call, all you need to do is use the increase/decrease volume keys on the left hand side of the device. The top
half of the button increases the volume, whereas the bottom half decreases the volume.
Q5. How do I put my phone into hands free loudspeaker mode?
To activate loudspeaker, all you need to do is press on the icon that says speaker underneath. Press this again
to disable.
Q6. How can I do a conference call?
During a live call, simply press the add call icon, then go ahead and enter the Dialpad to dial a new number.
Once you call the number, a third contact will be in the call. All 3 people can talk at the same time.
Q7. How do I save a photo that I sent as an attachment via SMS?
To save a photo. Open the message. Long press on the photo itself to highlight it. Now press the save icon (3 rd
from the right) via the bar that appears under the current time. You will get a notification telling you the photo
has been saved to the album.
