Storing in the Fridge
Refrigerated juice will keep for up to 48 hours when stored in an airtight con-
tainer. Avoid drinking juice stored for more than 72 hours. When storing, fill
the container to the brim with juice to reduce oxygen content. Oxygen expo-
sure will deplete the nutrients in juice over time.
Note:
Make a double batch of juice each time. Drink half right away to receive the
full nutritional benefits of freshly made juice. Fresh juice is best consumed
within 20 minutes of juicing. Properly store the rest to drink later in the day.
This will allow you to receive the most vitamins and minerals from at least
one serving of your daily juice.
Storing in the Freezer
Though not preferred over refrigeration, you may freeze homemade juice.
Freeze juice immediately after making it. Frozen juice will last 7-10 days. Thaw
in the refrigerator.
Storing in Cooler
If you plan to take your juice with you, store it in a cooler with ice packs.
Always keep homemade juice in a dark, cool environment and away from heat
sources and natural or artificial light.
