Connecting to an iSCSI RAID

This guide covers configuration of the iSCSI initiator within the Windows PC (Kollector/NVR) and an iSCSI RAID. It shows
initially how to connect the two units together but may be equally helpful when reconnecting or fault finding.
For best performance the iSCSI RAID should be connected via a dedicated network shown in Red below.
NOTE: IP Addresses shown are for guidance only. Please check the Network settings on each device before proceding as they may be different.
Go to Control Panel and
start the iSCSI Initiator
And then Advanced.
Click on Discovery, Discover Portal.

  • Page 2 Next enter the IP Address of the Target port. This is the CH0 port of the iSCSI RAID Click on OK Change the Local Adapter to Microsoft iSCSI Initiator. Enter the Initiator IP Address. This is the IP address of the Kollector/NVR iSCSI SAN port.
  • Page 3 Check the Ethernet patch cables are OK and plugged in to the correct ports.  Check the RAID management software to ensure that the RAID is configured and functioning correctly.  If all else fails, please call Vicon Technical Support.
