Operation

NOTE: It is the responsibility of the operator
to ensure that any chemical mix is sufficiently
agitated and that the conditions are right
to start spraying. Operators must wear the
appropriate PPE.
1.
Follow the safety check and start up
procedure for the pump motor.
2.
Fill main tank with approximately 20% or
more of total tank volume of fresh water.
3.
Remove the priming cap at the top of the
delivery port on the pump. Fill pump body
with water and refit priming cap tightly.
4.
See engine section. Start the engine
at the lowest revs possible and then
gradually increase revs until the full
operating speed is reached.
5.
Allow up to 3 minutes to prime.
6.
Uncoil the spray hose near your target
and open the lever operated valve on the
spray gun to commence spot spraying.
7.
Adjust the lever position on the gun and
also the engine speed to raise or lower
the spray rate to suit application. The fan
angle of the spray is also adjustable on
the gun by rotating the nozzle.
IMPORTANT: Never attempt to operate pump
without priming first. Extended dry operation
will destroy pump seal. If pump has been run
dry, stop the engine immediately and allow it
to cool before adding priming water.
NOTE: Refer to your chemical manufacturer's
information for determining appropriate spray
rates and water mixtures.
