Troubleshooting - Husqvarna BG 245 Operator's Manual

1. Set the product in maintenance position. Refer to
set the product in maintenance position on page 15 .
2. Remove the screws.
3. Replace the blades.
Problem
The product does not start.
The blades do not rotate, or rotate
too slowly when the clutch control is
engaged.

4. Lubricate the blade shafts. Refer to
Gearbox
It is not necessary to do maintenance on the gearbox. If
the gearbox is disassembled or repaired, let the service
center replace the oil. Refer to
23 for recommended oil quality.

Troubleshooting

Cause
The fuel tank is empty.
The engine ON/OFF switch is in the
"OFF" position.
The fuel valve is closed.
The engine is cold.
The engine is defective.
The V-belt is damaged.
The tension of the V-belt around the
belt pulleys is not sufficient.
The clutch wire is broken.
a) If the blade has wear on one edge only, turn the
blade 180 degrees and put it back.
b) If the blade has wear on the front and rear edge,
replace with a new blade.

Solution
Fill the fuel tank.
Set the engine ON/OFF switch to
"ON".
Open the fuel valve.
Close the choke.
Refer to the engine manual.
Replace the V-belt.
Adjust the tension of the clutch wire.
Replace the clutch wire.
