Venom BCMS to be secured properly. Mounting hardware is required and not included. The Venom BCMS requires six rack unit spaces and at least one rack unit (1.75 inches) must be left open directly above and below each for proper ventilation.
Wherever possible, keep ventilation piping run lengths to no more than 10 feet by installing the Venom BCMS at the location of an exterior wall. The use of any piping other than 4” should be avoided to keep the system in negative pressure as the ventilation system serves only to evacuate smoke generated during a catastrophic battery event.
When planning your installation keep in mind that you will need room for the computer that will be used to control your Venom BCMS. You can do this by installing a shelf in the enclosure to hold a desktop computer and monitor or a simple slide out tray can be used to house a laptop computer.
Continue by connecting a USB A to USB B cable to the USB port located on the back of the Venom BCMS. Once complete, gather the cords and secure them so that they do not interfere with installation of the venting system.
