BR (1-inch), BR (1-inch) quick connect neutral, and
QB (bolt-on) arc fault (AF), ground fault (GF), dual
function AF/GF (DF), and equipment protection (EP)
CAUTION
OBSERVE PROPER WIRE TERMINATIONS ON THIS
BREAKER. DF, AF, OR GF BREAKER IS INTENDED
FOR USE WITH 120 V~ / 60 HZ SINGLE-PHASE
APPLICATIONS. SINGLE-POLE DF, AF, OR GF CANNOT
BE USED TO PROTECT SHARED-NEUTRAL CIRCUITS.
DO NOT REVERSE FEED OR BACKWIRE THE DF, AF,
OR GF BREAKER. DO NOT PERFORM A MEGGER OR A
HIGH VOLTAGE TEST WITH THE BREAKER IN PLACE;
REMOVE THE DF, AF, OR GF BREAKER PRIOR TO
HI-POT TESTING OF THE CIRCUIT. ELECTRIC RANGES
AND CLOTHES DRYERS WITH FRAMES GROUNDED
BY CONNECTION TO THE GROUNDED CONDUCTOR,
AS PERMITTED BY THE NEC, IT SHOULD NOT BE
CONNECTED TO THE LOAD CIRCUIT OF THIS DF, AF,
OR GF BREAKER.
Installation instructions
Step 1
Turn off main breaker or de-energize the
loadcenter.
Step 2
Switch the DF , AF , or GF circuit breaker to OFF
by moving the breaker handle firmly to the
OFF position.
Step 3
Connect the branch circuit to the breaker
(see Figure 1).
•
Connect the coiled, white "pigtail" from the
circuit breaker to the neutral bar terminal.
Torque neutral bar lug per instructions
•
Depending on local codes and practices, the
breaker's neutral connection may be cut or
spliced to desired length
•
Connect the white (neutral) load wire to the
terminal of the circuit breaker marked "LOAD
NEUTRAL, " which is marked with a white dot of
paint. Torque per ratings listed on the breaker
•
Connect the black (hot) load wire to the circuit
breaker terminal marked "LOAD" . Torque per
ratings listed on the breaker
Step 4
Plug the circuit breaker into the desired pole
position. Rotate the breaker down to attach the
breaker to the bus stab.
Step 5
Turn on the main breaker or re-energize the
loadcenter.

Instructions d'installation
Étape 1
Ouvrir le disjoncteur principal ou ouvrir le circuit
alimentant le panneau de distribution.
Étape 2
Commuter le disjoncteur de circuit AF , GF ou à
double fonction à FERMÉ (OFF) en déplaçant la
poignée du disjoncteur fermement à la position
FERMÉ (OFF).
Étape 3
Raccorder le circuit de dérivation au disjoncteur
(voir la Figure 1).
•
Raccorder le fil en « queue de cochon » blanc
bobiné du disjoncteur du circuit à la borne de la
barre neutre. Appliquer un couple de serrage à
la cosse de la barre neutre, selon les instructions
•
Selon les pratiques et les codes locaux, il est
possible de couper ou de joindre la connexion
du neutre du disjoncteur jusqu'à la longueur
souhaitée
•
Raccorder le fil de charge (neutre) blanc à
la borne du disjoncteur de circuit marquée
« CHARGE NEUTRE », identifiée par un point
de peinture blanche. Appliquer un couple
de serrage selon la capacité indiquée sur
le disjoncteur
•
Raccorder le fil de charge (sous tension) noir
à la borne du disjoncteur de circuit marquée
« LOAD ». Appliquer un couple de serrage
selon la capacité indiquée sur le disjoncteur
Étape 4
Brancher le disjoncteur dans la position désirée.
Tourner le disjoncteur vers le bas pour le fixer au
guide du bus.
Étape 5
Fermer le disjoncteur principal ou remettre
l'alimentation du panneau de distribution.

Instrucciones de instalación
Paso 1
Apague el interruptor principal o desenergice el
centro de carga.
Paso 2
Coloque el interruptor de circuito de DF , AF
O GF en posición OFF (APAGADO), moviendo
firmemente la palanca del interruptor a la posición
OFF (APAGADO).
Paso 3
Conecte el circuito derivado al interruptor
(vea la Figura 1).
•
Conecte el cable blanco en espiral (cable
flexible de conexión) del interruptor de circuito al
terminal de la barra neutra. Ajuste el conector o
la barra neutra según lo señalan las instrucciones
•
Dependiendo de los códigos y las prácticas
locales, la conexión neutra del interruptor se
puede cortar o empalmar a la altura deseada
•
Conecte el cable blanco (neutro) del lado
de carga al terminal del interruptor de circuito
con la marca "LOAD NEUTRAL " (NEUTRO DE
LA CARGA) de color blanco. Ajuste el cable
según las indicaciones de torque que figuran
en el interruptor
•
Conecte el cable negro (carga viva) del lado de
carga al terminal del interruptor de circuito con
la leyenda "LOAD" (CARGA). Ajuste el cable
según las indicaciones de torque que figuran
en el interruptor
Paso 4
Enchufe el interruptor de circuito en el polo
deseado en el panel. Gire el interruptor hacia abajo
para ajustar el interruptor a la barra colectora.
Paso 5
Encienda el interruptor principal o vuelva a
energizar el centro de carga.
