    Chapter 5 ITW Dynatec Maintenance and Repair Notes 5.5 Shim Replacement All slot die heads are equipped with shims, located between the die plate and the die adapter of the extruder. A standard (0.005”) shim is factory-installed on your extruder. Two additional cut shims are included, along with three blank shims.
