6.7 Touch keys as data points via OPC UA
If an OPC UA connection between the controller and Power Panel exists, the touch keys of the Power Panel are
displayed in the controller as data points in the I/O mapping of the Power Panel.
In order to use this option, the following version conditions must be met:

Configuration for using the OPC UA data points
The following configurations must be made in Automation Studio:
Configuration of the controller (CPU):
► If the Power Panel is identified by the hostname in the network, the following settings must be enabled in
configuration "DNS parameters":
– Activate DNS service
– Get DNS from DHCP server
► In configuration "OPC-UA system":
– Activate OPC-UA system
Configuration of the Power Panel:
► In configuration "OPC-UA":
– Enable OPC-UA server.
– Configure suitable settings for the OPC UA server (port, server access).
Data points in the I/O mapping
If the controller and Power Panel have been configured correctly, OPC UA communication is established and the
following data points are available in Automation Studio in the I/O mapping of the Power Panel:
