This installation guide gives instructions for the replacement of the pressure transducer placed on the liquid receiver
on Copeland EazyCool™ CO
transducer into the compressor compartment of the CO
placed originally. This installation guide describes the main working steps and provides some useful tips.
1
Main steps
1.
Switch off the main switch to shut the unit down.
2.
Isolate the unit from the cooling circuit by closing the shut-off valve on compressor discharge and the shut-off
valve on flashtank.
3.
Remove pressure (charge) from the liquid receiver of the unit including the whole discharge line and the
gascooler.
4.
Install the PT5 kit as per instructions below.
5.
Switch on the main switch.
6.
Check the functioning of the new pressure transducer on the visograph display.
7.
Perform a leakage test.
8.
Insulate the Schraeder connection as per instructions below.
9.
Put the device into operation.

  • Page 1 EPLACEMENT This installation guide gives instructions for the replacement of the pressure transducer placed on the liquid receiver on Copeland EazyCool™ CO refrigeration units. The PT5 replacement kit makes it possible to install a pressure transducer into the compressor compartment of the CO unit, instead of the flashtank shut-off valve where it was placed originally.
  • Page 2 Disassembling the parts of the CO unit Caution: Make sure that there is no pressure in affected unit parts! Disconnect the cable connector from the old pressure transducer and remove the PT5 from the port of the shut- off valve. Use a 1/4" NPT plug (E) with sealing glue (Loctite) to blind the shut-off port. Tighten the 1/4"...

Pull the cable of the old pressure transducer through the hole in the partition wall into the compressor compartment area.
  • Page 4 Fasten the brazed set to the bracket using the plastic clamp (C) [Key 10 mm] – see Figure 5. The plastic clamp can be placed in two different positions (Figures 5 & 6) because the partition wall is available in two different versions, with the holes located in different positions.
