3G Mode:
Even though this quad is capable of flying in 3G mode, and perform manual flips, the transmitter may not have
been setup properly, to access 3G mode. I'll try to list all the steps involved to allow the switch marked
"G.S/Gear" to switch between 6G and 3G modes.
- Power on transmitter
- Set "G.S/Gear" switch to down position
- Press and hold the "mode" button till the numbers "123456" start flashing on the display
- Rotate the rotary dial on the right in clockwise direction to the position where the word "gyro" will be flashing
on the display
- Press the rotary dial, and a number will start flashing below the word "gyro".
- Rotate the rotary dial so that the number is 25 (to check if the 6G mode is still available, flick the "G.S/Gear"
switch up, and see if the number changes to 75
- Press the "back" button one time, and then one more time, to leave settings menu
Note: You can use different values, anything of 42 and above puts the quad in 6G mode, anything of 41 and below
puts it in 3G mode.
Altering Throttle Curve:
The top switch marked "FMOD/FLAP" is unused on this quad, as it has no idle up, like a CP heli. But in one of the
other X251 threads the suggestion was made to use it to be able to switch between stock throttle curve settings,
which has it limited to 75%, and a more aggressive setting.
- Power on transmitter
- Set "FMOD/FLAP" switch to down position
- Press and hold the "mode" button till the numbers "123456" start flashing on the display
- Rotate the rotary dial on the right in clockwise direction to the position where the word "T.Curvc" will be flashing
on the display
- Press the rotary dial, and the first number, "1" will start flashing, as well as a "00"
- Rotate the rotary dial clockwise, to select "3"
- Press down on the rotary dial so only "3" is flashing, and chance the number that appeared, "35", to "45"
- Press the back button to go a step back, and rotate the rotary dial again, to select "4"
- Press down on the rotary dial again, and only "4" will start flashing, along with a number "45", change that to
"55"
- Press back again, and using the same steps as before, select position "5" and change it's value to "95"
- Press the back button once, and then again, to exit settings menu.
Note: If you have trouble keeping steady altitude, and find that even with stock T curve you have too much
power, I would try something like 0-20-35-50-65, so all steps are 15. Or more docile, with smaller steps, so even
easier to maintain altitude, 0-20-35-48-60

  • Page 2 Increasing Dual Rate settings: Stock the dual rate settings are programmed to switch between 80% and 100 %. So a beginner doesn't need to change anything, just keep the D/R switch in up position and you have 80%. When feeling more confident, try 100, DR switch down.
