The unit will start up now. If the unit does not start up, press BACK and
wait until the unit is ready to operate. This may take a few seconds.
If the display shows Link error, check the connections. If the error
persists, turn ignition off for about 10 seconds and leave the reader
connected. Then turn the ignition back to on.
Disconnecting the Unit from the Vehicle
Disconnect the unit from the vehicle only with the ignition off.

The Diagnostic Menu

Caution: do not connect the code reader with the engine running.
Select "Diagnose" in the main menu and confirm your selection with
ENTER. The unit reads the trouble codes from the computers of the
vehicle and displays them.
If an error message is displayed please check the connection of the unit.
Now an overview of the supported values and functions is displayed.
Press ENTER to reach the Diagnose menu.
In the Diagnose menu select the desired function and confirm your
selection with ENTER.
Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Select "Read Codes" in the diagnostic menu and confirm your selection
with ENTER. In the next menu the options "Current DTCs", "Pending
DTCs" and "Permanent DTCs" are displayed. Select an option with UP
and DOWN and confirm your selection with ENTER. The respective
trouble codes are displayed. For general trouble codes their meaning is
displayed, too. The meaning of the manufacturer-specific trouble codes
can be gathered in the main menu under the point "DTC Lookup". If you
do not find the meaning of the trouble code there, please look up the
meaning of the trouble code in the technical literature. Pressing BACK will
bring you back to the previous menu.
