Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunc-
tions, damage or physical injury:
Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the
reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
Please read this manual first before using the trouble code reader!
Make sure the vehicle is OBD II compliant.
Only connect the trouble code reader to the vehicle with ignition off.
Perform emission inspections in well-ventilated work area, use a
suitable exhaust gas suction hose or perform such inspections only
outdoors. There is risk of poisoning!
Keep clothing, hair, hands, tools and the trouble code reader away
from all moving or hot engine parts. Do not conduct the line cord
over sharp edges and corners or hot surfaces.
Use extreme caution when working around the ignition coil,
distributor cap, ignition wires and spark plugs. These components
create hazardous voltages when the engine is running. There is
danger to life!
Put transmission in PARK (for automatic transmission) or NEUTRAL
(for manual transmission) and make sure the parking break is en-
gaged.
Do not continue to use the trouble code reader if the unit itself or the
cord is damaged. Repair work must be done by a qualified service
technician.
Keep the code reader dry, clean and free from oil, water and grease.
Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it yourself. It does
not contain parts serviceable by you. In the case of questions or
problems, turn to our customer support.
