Correcting minor faults

Correcting minor faults
With the aid of the following explana-
tory notes, minor faults can be cor-
rected without contacting the Miele Ser-
vice Department.
Any work on the electrical components
of the machine should only be carried
out by a suitably qualified and compe-
tent person.
Faults / Possible causes
The dishwasher does not start
– Check that the door is properly
closed.
– Check that the switch at the isolator
is on.
– Check the fuses.
A few minutes after switching on, the
indicator light p q flashes.
– The stopcocks are closed.
– The filters in the water inlet hose are
dirty.
Switch off the dishwasher.
Open the stopcocks or clean the filters
(see "Cleaning and Care").
Switch on the dishwasher again and
re-select the programme
The wash cycle finishes too early;
the indicator light p q flashes
– The drain hose is kinked.
Straighten the hose.
Drain the water and re-select the pro-
grammme (see "Interrupting a pro-
gramme").

The water in the wash cabinet is not
heated: the programme sequence
lasts too long
This dishwasher has a resettable
heater limiter which will shut off the
heating in case of overheating. This
could be caused for example, if large
articles cover the heating elements or if
the filters in the wash cabinet are
blocked.
Remove cause of fault.
Take off service panel (see "Electri-
cal connection ").
Press in the reset button (blue) on
the heater limiter.
If this switch trips repeatedly, the Miele
Service dept must be contacted.
In the event of any faults which cannot
be remedied, please contact your
Miele dealer or the Miele Service De-
partment
