Section 3: Adjustments
Refer to Figure 3-11:
IMPORTANT: Deck lift rod connection at the rear is
fixed and is not adjustable. All adjustments to level
and set deck height must be made at the front.
6. Loosen jam nut (#3) and back it away from deck lift
block (#1) approximately 1".
7. Turn adjusting nut (#2) several truns away from deck
lift block (#1).

Deck Height Gauge Bar Adjustment

Refer to Figure 3-12 & Figure 3-13:
8. Unscrew jam nut (#11) from trunnion block (#9) four
or more turns. Typical both sides.
9. Unscrew adjusting nut (#10) from trunnion block (#9)
approximately 1". Typical both sides.
Refer to Figure 3-11 & Figure 3-13:
10. Loosen 5/16" jam nut (#16). Back adjuster bolt (#15)
out until adjuster (#17) can move up and down freely.
11. Set cutting height at 3 1/4" by turning deck height
adjusting stop (#5) so that the flat side is against stop
handle (#4) and then place adjusting stop into the 3"
cutting height hole in deck height gauge bar (#6)
(See deck height indicator (#7) to locate 3" hole.)
Refer to Figure 3-11 & Figure 3-12:
12. Turn adjusting nut (#2) against deck lift block (#1)
until front deck lift chain (#14) on the left side is tight
and deck is still resting on the 3" support blocks.
13. Tighten jam nut (#3) against deck lift block (#1).

Deck Level Adjustment (Left Side)
Refer to Figure 3-12 & Figure 3-13:
14. Be sure adjuster (#17) is free to move up and down.
Tighten adjuster bolt (#15) until front deck lift chain
on the right side becomes tight. Make sure mower
deck stays tight against 3" support blocks.
15. Tighten jam nut (#16).
16. Turn adjusting nut (#10) against trunnion block (#9)
until it makes contact. Typical both sides.
17. Tighten jam nut (#11) against trunnion block (#9).
Typical both sides.
