5. Specifications
Cause(s)
The machine is operating too fast
The outer end of the wing is operating too deep
The gauge wheel is not supporting the wing
Cause(s)
The machine is not level
The wheels are not in contact with the ground
The gauge wheels are adjusted too deep
Shovel points are worn
Sweep stem angle is not correct
Leveling adjustments are not correct on the main
frame or the wings
Hydraulic malfunction - air in the lines, cylinder or
hoses leaking or not installed correctly.

The wing(s) are bouncing.
Reduce speed
Adjust the wing wheels to reduce depth
Lower the gauge wheel
The machine is not cutting into the soil.
Level the machine front to rear and side to side
Level the disc and/or set the depth adjustment
Adjust the gauge wheels
Adjust stop collar of the main lift cylinder(s) for
wear. Replace shovels if wear is severe
Use 50 degree sweeps
See the information for leveling the implement
Make sure the wing fold cylinders are fully
extended
Check for leaks in the cylinders, hoses, and fittings.
Make sure all cylinders and hoses are correctly
installed.
