Appendix: Installed DGT Chess Engines

Below is an overview of the currently installed DGT Pi chess engines (Software version 0.9L)
StockFish 8
StockFish is universally recognized as the strongest open source chess engine in the world. Even on
the relatively modest hardware of a Raspberry Pi 3 it easily beats even super Grandmasters. The
amount of chess knowledge programmed into StockFish makes it a perfect engine to analyse your
games. You can set the engine at a lower skill level to have a chance of winning, or increase to a
next skill level once you are able to defeat the current skill level.
