STORAGE
When preparing the generator for storage, follow the guidelines below.

STORAGE TIME

No special preparation is required.
Less than 1 month
Empty fuel from the fuel tank.
1 to 2 months
Empty fuel from the fuel tank.
2 months to 1 year
Drain fuel from the carburetor.
Replace the fuel filter.
Empty fuel from the fuel tank.
1 year or more
Drain fuel from the carburetor.
Replace the fuel filter.
Remove the spark plug.
Put a tablespoon of engine oil into the cylinder through the spark plug hole. Turn the engine slowly
with the pull rope to distribute the oil.
Reinstall the spark plug.
Change the engine oil.
*Use unleaded fuel stabilisers formulated to extend storage life. For recommendations, contact your nearest authorised service
centre.

Change Engine Oil
Check Air Filter
Clean Air Filter
Change Air Filter
Replace the Fuel Filter
Check/Adjust Spark Plug
Replace Spark Plug
Check/Adjust Idle Speed
Check/Adjust Valve Clearance*
Clean Fuel Tank and Filter*
Check Fuel Tube
* These items should only be carried out by an authorised service centre.
NOTE: Maintenance should be performed more frequently when generator is used in dusty areas.
When generator has exceeded the maximum figures specified in the table, maintenance should still be cycled according
to the intervals of time or hours stated herein.
