FT2-700-MECH Series
FlipTop™ FT2 Series, 700 Size, Mechanical
The Crestron® FT2-700-MECH, FT2-700-MECH-PTL,
FT2-700-MECH-AC, and the
FT2-700-MECH-ACUSB
management systems install into a table or other horizontal surface to
provide modular tabletop connectivity for users. The FT2-700-MECH
series feature a one touch lid that retracts fully and disappears with the
tap of a button. When the lid is retracted, 12 module slots are arranged in
two rows of six. The flexible modular design may also be customized with
an assortment of Crestron accessories. For more information about the

The FT2-700-MECH-PTL offers an alternative pass-through lid style
which allows cables to be fully extended while the lid is closed.
The FT2-700-MECH-AC includes an FT2A-PWR-US-1-BASIC AC power
outlet module. Similarly, the FT2-700-MECH-ACUSB includes an
FT2A-PWR-US-1-BASIC and an FT2A-CHGR-USBA-BASIC USB rapid
charging module.
The FT2-700-MECH, FT2-700-MECH-PTL, FT2-700-MECH-AC, and the
FT2-700-MECH-ACUSB are all functionally similar. For simplicity within
this document, they are all referred to as the "FT2-700 assembly."

The following are required for installation. sections provide best practices and installation procedures for pass- through cable modules and blank plate modules. - Page 5 Quick Start FT2-700-MECH Series FlipTop™ FT2 Series, 700 Size, Mechanical Installing the Pass-Through Cable Module with Non-4K Cables The grommet is recommended to use with cables that are 10 mm or thinner. 1. Open the grommet. 2. Insert a cable into the grommet with the connector facing up toward the end user.

Attach the side plate to the module by snapping the plastic clips on the plate into the two slots on the module. NOTE: If the side plate must be removed, use a small, flat object (such as a flat-head screwdriver) to carefully pry the plastic clips on the side plate off of the module near the two slots.
