For Sanipower, the installation of the float is only pos-
sible on the side of the tank opposite the pressure
connection.
Guide the sensor from the outside through the hole so
that the sealing ring is outside the tank and screw it in
tightly.
Saniquick UF / UFT
Position the lower half shell of the pipe clamp as shown in
the drawing is on the pipe. Now place the upper half shell
over it and fix it with the two screws.
AL3 with back pressure switch:
In narrow pump shafts, without sufficient space for a float
switch, the back pressure switch provides a possible al-
ternative. Fit the switch so that the switching point is situ-
ated (100mm from the lower edge of the pitotstatic tube)
above the switching point of the pump. The back pressure
switch connection housing is not suitable for continuously
immersed operation (IP55). Therefore, it should be instal-
led so that the connection housing is located above the
flood area (extend pitotstatic tube as required).

8. Commissioning and Operation

Connect the AL3 to the mains electricity. When the LED
illuminates, the equipment is operational.
Level Measurement
In case of flood, switch the alarm relay and the beeper
permanently on. If the level drops below the switching
threshold, switch off the relay and beeper.
The beeper can be switched off when the level is persis-
tent by pressing the button. If a new level is detected, the
alarm relay and the beeper switch on again
LED
The LED indicates mains operation (on) and the program-
ming mode (flashing). When operating in battery mode,
the LED does not illuminate.
MAINS- BATTERY MODE
(battery available with connection kit as accessory)
When there is a mains failure (3 seconds of no power
supply), the equipment switches over to battery mode.
The alarm relay is switched on and the beeper gives an
intermittent tone.
The beeper can be acknowledged by pressing the button.
The alarm relay warning continues.
LOW POWER MODE (Only for Battery Mode)
If a mains failure is detected and the mains voltage does
not return within 60 minutes, the equipment switches
over to Low Power Mode. The beeper, the alarm relay
and the level measurement are switched off to protect
the battery from running flat. When the voltage returns,
the equipment continues to operate in mains mode and
the battery is charged.
If the equipment is switched on with no mains voltage
and where a battery is present, it switches directly into
Low Power Mode.
This is indicated by the beeper sounding several times. In
this case, all functions are locked until the device obtains
mains voltage.
ISOLATED RELAY CONTACT
There are 2 options for issuing alarms through the alarm
relay. This may be programmed when switching on the
power supply using the button.
NO MODE = normally open (isolated relay contact open)
contact closes if there is a flood.
Detection signal for mains connection: beeps twice (con-
dition as supplied).
NC MODE = normally closed (isolated relay contact clo-
sed) contact opens if there is a flood.
Detection signal for mains connection: beeps once.
INITIALISATION AND PROGRAMMING MODE
If the equipment is connected to the mains power sup-
ply, the LED flashes for approximately 5 seconds. If the
button is operated during this time and held down for 10
seconds, the equipment toggles through the alarm relay
modes. The newly selected mode is indicated.
