PREPARATION
Make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list.
If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.
UNPACKING
• This product requires assembly.
• Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the
Package Contents list are included.
• Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
• Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the
product.
• If any parts are damaged or missing, please call 1-888-3KOBALT (1-888-356-2258) for assistance.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury, always disconnect the power
cord before installing the guard or making any adjustments.
1. Place hedge trimmer (A) in a stable position.
2. Align the screw holes on the auxiliary handle/guard (B)
with the screw holes on the hedge trimmer (A).
3. Insert the screws (AA) into the holes on both sides of the
hedge trimmer (A).
4. Use a Phillips head screwdriver (not included) to tighten
screws (AA) and secure the auxiliary handle/guard (B) in
place.
