    PREPARATION Know Your Hedge Trimmer Carefully lift the tool from the carton and place it on a level work surface. This hedge trimmer can be used for these purposes: trimming hedges, shrubs, and bushes with branch diameters less than 3/4 in. (19mm). Before attempting to use the hedge trimmer, familiarize yourself with all of its operating features and safety requirements.

    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 3. To Start/Stop the Hedge Trimmer • Make sure that you have a secure and balanced footing. • Stand upright and hold the hedge trimmer in a relaxed position. • Make sure that the cutting blade is not touching the ground or any other objects.

    CARE AND MAINTENANCE All maintenance should only be carried out by a qualified service technician. Before performing any maintenance, remove the battery from the tool. WARNING • Blades are sharp.
