- Page 4 Filter Insert Care & Use The Filter Insert helps to reduce many water impurities. • Never place the filter or filter compartment in the microwave or on the stovetop. • Do not place the filter or filter compartment in boiling water. • Before washing the filter compartment, remove the filter. The filter compartment is dishwasher safe, however hand washing in warm soapy water with a soft cloth or sponge. • Based on typical household use we recommend replacing your filter every 90 days for best results. To insert the filter into the Filter compartment, hold the bottom of • the compartment and turn the top clockwise until the filter compartment separates. Place the filter into the bottom of the filter compartment and replace the filter compartment top. To remove or replace the filter first ensure the filter is wet, as this will be much easier. Then, hold the filter at an angle or upside down and shake the used filter into your hand or sink. • After inserting your filter into the filter compartment and securing the top and bottom, make sure the lid is removed and place the filter compartment into your pitcher. Secure the filter into the pitcher as shown below. Secure the filter in place by turning the filter clockwise once in the pitcher. After the filter compartment is secure, your filtration system is • now ready to be used. Slowly pour water over the filter compartment, making sure to • not overflow the filter compartment. NOTE: During the first few uses the water may filter slowly through the filter.
