    One installation manual PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The ST-CCTV-VBAC8 is an 8-channel active video receiver that receives a balanced signal over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable and converts it to an unbalanced signal for a display device (e.g., monitor). Eight channels of video imaging simultaneously can be received over UTP cable, processed and displayed.

    5. WIRING CONNECTIONS a. The UTP connections to the ST-CCTV-VBAC8 can be done using the unit’s (i) terminal blocks or (ii) RJ45 connector. The advantage of using the RJ45 connector is multiple devices can be connected using a single UTP cable. If using the RJ45 connector the wiring order follows the TIA/EIA-568B specification.

    Image brightness and sharpness may vary according to the distance between the camera and the ST-CCTV-VBAC8. A potentiometer and set of DIP switches are assigned to each channel on the ST-CCTV-VBAC8. The potentiometer is used to adjust “brightness” while the DIP switches adjust “sharpness”.
