    One installation manual PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The ST-CCTV-VBAC16 is an 16-channel active video receiver that receives a balanced signal over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable and converts it to an unbalanced signal for a display device (e.g., monitor, DVR). Sixteen channels of video imaging simultaneously can be received over UTP cable, processed and displayed.

    5. WIRING CONNECTIONS a. The UTP connections to the ST-CCTV-VBAC16 is done using the unit’s RJ45 connectors. The advantage of using the RJ45 connector is up to 4 devices can be share a single UTP cable. If using the RJ45 connector the wiring order follows the TIA/EIA-568B specification.
  • Page 5 Image brightness and sharpness may vary according to the distance between the camera and the ST-CCTV-VBAC16. A potentiometer and set of DIP switches are assigned to each of the ST-CCTV-VBAC16’s channels. The potentiometer is used to adjust “brightness” while the DIP switches adjust “sharpness”.

    Video image appears scrambled – (i) Check to be sure all UTP wiring connections and polarities are consistent at each device and the ST-CCTV-VBAC16 RJ45 input(s). b. Video image has some ripples – This may be caused by electro-magnetic interference.
