CHAPTER 1 - INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing an IM4.
This manual contains important information concerning safety, operation and maintenance
of your buggy. Please read this manual thoroughly and carefully to become familiar with all
sections prior to operation. Should you have any questions please contact us.
We provide an extensive range of products to best fit your needs. Please be aware that the
final selection and purchasing decision regarding the type of buggy to be used is the
responsibility of a user who is capable of making such a decision.
As you begin using your buggy on the course, you will probably encounter situations in
which you will need some practice. Simply take your time and you will soon be in full and
confident control as you manoeuvre around obstacles and over rough terrain.
With proper care and preventive maintenance, you should enjoy many years of dependable
service. We recommend your buggy receive a regular annual service from Electric Vehicles
Oceania. Should you be unable to correct a fault in your buggy, contact us immediately.
We reserve the right of final interpretation on the manual. For any printing errors or
improvements, Electric Vehicles Oceania will update in newer editions. Please let us know
of improvements or errors.
Electric Vehicles Oceania is not responsible for any damage or injury incurred due to
improper use. Please take the time to get familiar with your scooters characteristics and
functions.
This buggy is easy to operate. The four large wheels will let you drive on unpaved roads,
over moderately rough terrain and over obstacles. Care should always be taken when
travelling on new routes. It's equipped with both front and seat shock absorbers to give
you a comfortable and smooth drive, even when using the vehicle on rough roads.
The IM4 is designed to work in normal environmental conditions from very cold
temperatures (-30ºC) to very hot temperatures (+45ºC). It will operate in light rain
showers, but extended use is not recommended in
heavy rain. The IM4 can climb steep slopes with angles
and loads as detailed in the buggy specifications page.
The braking system stops the buggy smoothly and
within a short distance after the throttle control lever is
released. All controls are conveniently mounted on the
tiller and are simple to operate.
After reading through this entire manual and before
using the buggy, do a check of all the parts to make
sure that there is no visible damage. If you have any
questions or concerns, contact Electric Vehicles
Oceania. This buggy uses maintenance-free sealed lead
acid batteries only.
