The service life of the filter will be longer if the periods of continuous operation do not exceed 4 hours. The need for
daily filtration is determined by the volume of water in the pool in m
water temperature of around 21ºC and placed at 3.5 m. from the pool. Leave the motor at off for at least 2 h. between
each 4 h period of operation.
Example:
6 WASHING THE CARTRIDGE (Fig.11)
We recommend that the cartridge be washed every week (or every 30 h of operation).
To wash the cartridge, proceed as follows:
• Disconnect the filter from the power point.
• Close the pool suction and discharge valves. In model AR-118 this is performed by turning the valves.
• Turn the cover of the filter body clockwise until it is released. Then, remove the cover. Unscrew the filtering cartridge
located on the upper cover (Fig. 11).
• Place the cartridge under a low pressure stream of water from a garden hose until you can see that the cartridge is
clean.
• At the beginning of the bathing season or following several washing cycles it may be necessary to change the
filtering cartridge. In order to do so, contact the pool manufacturer at the telephone and hours indicated in the
instructions.
7 CLEANING THE BOTTOM AND SURFACE
This pump can not be used with suction bottom cleaners. It must only be used with Ventury bottom cleaners.
This filter is not equipped with a skimmer. Use a leaf collector to clean the surface and a floating chlorine feeder for the
chemical product. See the pool manual for more information on these accessories.

8 CABLE REPLACEMENT

• Disconnect the unit from the power point.
• Close the suction and discharge valves.
• Disconnect the filter suction hose. Lift the terminal quickly and place it in the pool.
• Disconnect the filter discharge hose. Lift the terminal quickly and place it in the pool.
• Disconnect the ø25 mm, 0.30 m length pump discharge hose.
• If you use the filter installed on the motor, detach the upper body of the filter from the motor base.
• Carefully turn the filter motor base upside down. Unscrew the three screws which secure the filter. Detach the cover
from the motor base (Fig. 12).
• Disconnect the motor terminals, taking note of their position.
• Remove the cable, replace it, and reassemble the unit by performing the actions described in the opposite order.
9 WINTER SEASON - MAINTENANCE WHILE NOT IN USE
If you would like to store the filter during the winter, drain the water from the filter and the entire unit (pump, hoses,
etc.). In order to do so, close the suction and discharge valves in the swimming pool. Disconnect the hoses from their
filter connections (pump suction, pump discharge, filter cover). Then, drain the water which may have remained inside.
Wait until all of the water has drained, and make sure that the water pump is completely dry. In order to do so, open
the motor base as indicated in the cable replacement section. Then, store it in a dry place. This operation should also
be performed whenever you do not plan to use the filter for extended periods of time. It is recommendable to take
advantage of this opportunity to visually check the condition of the cable and replace it if necessary. For cable
replacement, following the instructions in the cable replacement section.
After the winter season, reinstall the filter as though it were new.
