    B-6010/B-6020 Secure Outdoor Ethernet Radio Link 1. Introduction to the B-6010/B-6020 The ZyXEL B-6010 (refer as AP)/B-6020 (refer as AC) is a Wireless Bridge/Router for Inter-building Point to Point Ethernet connection. By supporting IPSec VPN (Virtual Private Network) with 3DES engine, B-6010/B-6020 is particularly suited for most sensitive data transmission.

The outdoor unit The outdoor unit is a radio transceiver equipped with a robust IP66 approved enclosure and features a N-type connector for external antenna connection. A special weather proven connector is used for connecting the single UTP cable to the indoor unit and special weatherproof RS232 connector is built for the connection of laptop or a special designed antenna alignment kit to align the directional antenna installation.

The outdoor unit installation The installation procedure of B-6010/B-6020 is described below: 1. Choose an appropriate place for the installation. The chosen site should have a clear light-of-sight path.

At the same time, you have to position the directional antenna to each other for both sides mutually. Notice: The antenna must be installed by the professional installer to comply with the safety, electrical and radiation standards.

    4.5. Antenna Alignment You had better align the directional antenna each other to maximize the signal quality for B-6010/B-6020 system. To do the antenna alignment, you can choose optional AK-100 which will show you the signal strength and link quality on its panel or the laptop PC which show the signal strength and link quality on its SMT 24.1 to refer to the alignment.

    Special notice for the RS-232 cable keypro The keypro is used as an interface between the CONSOLE port of B-6010/B-6020 and the PC RS-232 port. Please ensure the keypro is well connected to the CONSOLE cable (9-pin female connector) and the other end of the keypro is connected to the PC RS232 cable (male connector).
