Start-up Guide
The com.tom device communicates with the com.tom PORTAL via
Wi-Fi or Ethernet. The communication mechanism has a low data
volume and can be integrated easily in existing network infrastruc-
tures.
The device may be put into service and
operated by qualified personnel only.
The device is designed for an installation on a
grounded 35 mm DIN rail in dry rooms.
The power supply of the device must be a
grounded circuit PELV (connection between
functional earth and ground). The power
supply must be a limited power source ac-
cording to the EN60950-1 chap. 2.5 or must
be provided with an anti-surge fuse of 2 A.
Never use the device in areas where the operation of wireless
equipment is prohibited. The adherence of the protection against
the lightning norm VDE V 0185 is mandatory when installing the
antenna outside. The E.M.C lightning zone concept must be con-
sidered. The device must be deactivated while working with the
antenna.
